For Prospective Undergraduate and Graduate Students
We welcome undergraduate and graduate students who are motivated to pursue research.
Undergraduate Thesis Research
Past undergraduate thesis titles are listed on our thesis page. We welcome students interested in research using simulation and theoretical physics. We primarily accept students from the Computational Experiment Program in the Computational Science Course and from the Physics Course. Students from other courses or programs are welcome to contact us individually.
For Physics Course students, the procedures for computational experiments and laboratory assignment differ slightly. Please contact us directly well in advance if you wish to join, ideally by around February of your third year, after the undergraduate thesis presentations of the Computational Experiment Program.
We will discuss your thesis research with you and choose a topic together that suits your interests, whether you wish to study fundamental theory in depth, begin research immediately, or develop programs.
Master’s Program
Past master’s thesis titles are listed on our thesis page. We welcome motivated applicants. We have also accepted two students from other universities: a graduate of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Toyama, and a graduate of the Department of Human Communication, Faculty of Electro-Communications, University of Electro-Communications (previously a graduate of Ishikawa National College of Technology).
Please contact us if you wish to join, and apply to the Computational Science Course in the Division of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. For admissions information, please see the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology website.
Doctoral Program
Past doctoral thesis titles are listed on our thesis page. We also welcome students joining at the doctoral level and can discuss arrangements to suit their circumstances. For admissions information, please see the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology website.
